Doha: El Jaish and Al Rayyan will clash in the final of the Qatar Cup at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiya Arena on April 28.
In yesterday’s third and deciding best-of-three semi-finals, the Armymen stunned Qatar Volleyball Association League winners to made it to the title clash.
El Jaish won 3-2 (25/22, 25/14, 19/25, 25/27 & 15/10)
In the second match of the series El Jaish had defeated Al Arabi 3-2 (25/23, 25/21, 21/25, 22/25 and 15/11 ) forcing the decider.
On Friday, Al Arabi Club had no difficulty in beating El Jaish in straight sets 3-0 (25/16, 27/25 and 25/18).
In the other semi-final, Al Rayyan defeated Police in two straight games.
On Friday, Al Rayyan Sports Club withstood immense pressure from Police team to beat the later in a well-fought five setter to begin on a winning note.
Al Rayyan followed it up with a win the second match to book a place in the final. The Emir Cup follows the Qatar Cup and begins on April 29.
