Doha: Qatar participated in the 47th Malaysian Judicial Conference held in the Malaysian city of Kuantan.
Qatar’s delegation to the conference was headed by the Head of the Court of Cassation and President of the Supreme Judicial Council Masoud Mohamed Al Amiri (pictured), who is visiting Malaysia at the invitation of the Head of the Federal Supreme Court of Malaysia, Arfeen bin Zakaria.
The President of the Supreme Judicial Council paid a visit to the new courts complex in Bahang state which was inaugurated on the sidelines of the Judicial Conference.
He was briefed on methods used by the complex to facilitate litigation and enable litigants to finish their work quickly and efficiently through the available modern electronic means
Al Amiri and the President of the Supreme Federal Court of Malaysia held a session of talks to discuss prospects of cooperation and coordination between the judicial authorities in the two countries, and discussed the possibility of exchanging visits and expertise in the areas of speeding up litigation procedures and the use of alternative means of resolving civil disputes and commercial arbitration.
