Doha, Qatar: Qatar Calendar House stated in their X account that today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, marks a unique astronomical phenomenon, where the sun will be positioned perpendicularly above the Holy Kaaba.
This phenomenon can offer a straightforward way to determine the direction of the Qiblah anywhere in the world by only using one's own shadow under the sun.
The seeker of Qiblah can use their own shadow to determine direction of Qiblah only when the sun is above the horizon at Dhuhr prayer which equates 12:18pm Makkah time.
This process can be done by using a marker as the direction of the Qiblah in the opposite direction of one's own shadow.
