Agra: Agra pathologist Pramod Katara, suffering from acute arthritis, said yesterday that he had set a record after sitting for nine hours on a Swiss Ball.

Katara, 48, got off the ball last evening after ensuring the feat had been witnessed by neutral umpires and also filmed. He used a 120 cm ball. “It was not easy. Balancing on the ball needs lot of concentration and balancing,” Katara told IANS.

“I will now approach the Guinness people to record my achievement,” he added.

Katara said he began exercising on the Swiss Ball to get rid of acute arthritis.

The Swiss Ball, developed by an Italian in 1963, is used for athletic training and exercising leg muscles.
