DOHA: Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Thursday, adding 34.20 points or 0.37 percent to advance to 9,298.75 points from 9,264.55 on Wednesday.
The volume of the shares traded fell to 5,651,379 from 7,000,746 on Wednesday and the value of shares increased to QR334,520,696.06 from QR312,550,339.90 Wednesday.
Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.92 percent to QR159.00, Commercial Bank of Qatar rose 0.72 percent to QR69.50, Qatar Telecom gained 1.01 percent to QR120.50 and Islamic Insurance up by 0.97% to QR62.20.
The Banking and Financial sector index up 0.85 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index dropped 0.19 points.
The industrial sector fell 0.32 points while insurance sector gained 0.09 points. (QNA)
