Caracas: The death toll from two powerful earthquakes that devastated Venezuela earlier this week rose to 1,430 on Saturday, National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez also reported 3,238 injuries following Wednesday's magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 quakes. The previous death toll had been 920.
