DOHA: Two state-owned warehouses in the Industrial Area caught fire yesterday. It was not known until the time of going to press if there were any casualties and what caused the blaze.

Police cordoned off the Roundabout on the edge of the Industrial Area and all other entry and exit points leading to and out of the area were blocked.

Firefighters from the Civil Defence rushed to the site and, according to the Ministry of Interior, could manage to douse the blaze in one warehouse.

The ministry said on its twitter account that two warehouses in the area caught fire last evening, but Al Sharq said it had learned that the facilities belonged to the government. The Peninsula
