Al Sadd’s team management follows proceedings.  The club has appointed Hissam Zayed as a member of backroom staff.

DOHA: Al Sadd defeated Al Khor in a pre-season friendly 2-1 recently at the wolves’ training pitches.
The match was split into three 30 minute periods and it was the visitors who took the lead courtesy of a spot kick scored by William on the tenth minute.
Al Sadd equalised quickly, coming back with a goal of their own on the 25th minute.
The winning goal for the wolves came in the third period on the 70th minute as Salah placed the ball calmly into the back of the net.
Al Sadd is playing a series of three friendly games; having previously beaten Al Wakrah by the same margin and will now play their third match against Al Kharaitiyat next Sunday before they head overseas for their training camp in Europe. In addition the club has also brought in new technical staff as they look to improve and win the title next season.
Hissam Zayed who previously worked in Aspire was a former professional player that represented a number of clubs in the Qatar Stars League. He will replace the outgoing Abdulrahman Slimani. Also, the Brazilian fitness coach Joao Ligaour has joined Al Sadd ranks and will primarily work with Uruguayian Alejandro as the new technical fitness coach.
Hissam Zayed played for Al Arabi (seven seasons), Al Ahli (two seasons), Al Sahaml (one season), Umm Salal (six months) and Shahaniya (six months).
The player also represented Qatar.
