Riyadh: Saudi Arabia will issue 700,000 visas to recruit foreign workers, including housemaids, an Arab News daily report said yesterday, citing the Labour Ministry.
The ministry is allowing new recruitment companies to bring in more maids from different countries to address the maid crisis, the report said.
The ministry has informed 10 new recruitment companies that they would be given 700,000 visas to recruit foreign workers, including maids.
The ministry’s assurance follows a meeting with representatives of new recruitment companies, where it said a considerable number of visas would be for maids. QNA
