DOHA: Aspire Zone is set to host its first adventure racing obstacle challenge on October 18, 2014, and registration is open for teams willing to push their bodies and minds over a range of innovative tasks at this event.
Its 10 challenges include scaling the heights of the Olympic high diving board and then plunging deep into the pool below, summiting Aspire’s climbing wall, kayaking around the lake as well as trail running across the park to win the accolade of becoming an ‘Aspire Logistics Urban Adventurer’.
‘Urban Adventure’ will ask participants to run from checkpoint to checkpoint around the Aspire Zone to fulfil each task, and so the competition will also give participants the opportunity to explore some of the lesser known areas of its facilities.
The competition is open to men and women aged 18 and above. The challenges will be performed in teams of four with a designated captain and a dedicated reserve.
Awards will be given to the top overall finishers. The inaugural Aspire Urban Adventure Award 2014 will be awarded to the team with fastest course time achieved on the day.
