BAGHDAD: Iraq is willing "to play a role" within OPEC to support oil prices, Iraqi oil minister Jabar Ali al-Luaibi said on Saturday in the southern oil city of Basra.
"Iraq is seeking to play a role in order to support oil prices while preserving a share that is proportionate to its reserves," the minister said, according to oil ministry spokesman Asim Jihad.
