Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has announced today, August 27, 2025, the administrative closure of a car dealership in The Pearl for violating consumer protection laws.

The action was taken against United Cars Almana, located in the Pearl, for a period of one month.

According to the statement, the closure was a result of the dealership’s failure to adhere to the provisions of Article No. 16 of Law No. (8) of 2008 on Consumer Protection.

The violations cited include:

 - Failure to provide spare parts.
 - Delay in providing after-sales services.

The Administrative decision, numbered 25/2025, reflects the Ministry’s commitment to holding companies accountable and protecting consumer rights in the Qatari market.

This action serves as a reminder to all businesses operating in Qatar to comply with the country’s consumer protection laws.

The Ministry urges consumers with complaints or inquiries to contact the Consumer Protection Center at 16001.
