Doha: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, H E Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, presided over the weekly regular Cabinet meeting held at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.
Following the meeting, the Deputy Premier announced the decisions taken at the meeting.
The Cabinet approved a draft decision on the establishment of the Coordinating Committee for the services and public utilities.
Approved the draft decision of the Minister of the Environment on the extension of shrimp fishing ban in Qatari waters.
Approved the proposal of the Ministry of Economy and Finance to increase the State of Qatar’s share capital in the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (DHAMAN).
The Cabinet also approved the following:
A draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the health sector between the governments of Qatar and Albania; a draft agreement for economic, trade and technical cooperation between the governments of Qatar and Maldives.
The Cabinet reviewed the following topics and took the appropriate decisions:
A draft law organising nurseries and a draft Cabinet decision amending some provisions of the resolution No. (10) for the year 2007 for the establishment of the National Committee for Civil Aviation Security. QNA
