Doha: Qatar University’s College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) signed 2 separate MoUs this week which will enhance student development and academic cooperation.
The college signed MoUs with TOTAL Research Centre Qatar (TRCQ), a research division of TOTAL EP Qatar yesterday, and with the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) on Tuesday.
Both agreements are designed to enhance student development, research collaboration and academic cooperation and will benefit students from the College’s Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences and the Human Nutrition Programme.
The agreements cover the provision of student internship programs, participation in job fairs, seminars, conferences, workshops, and identification and implementation of mutual environmental research interest for Master and PhD students’ thesis research.
Commenting on the agreements, CAS Dean Dr Eiman Mustafawi said: “With our agreements with SCH and TOTAL, clinical training and supervised practical experience will be provided to our Human Nutrition Program students and Biological and Environmental Sciences students during the course of their studies”.
Director of Public Health at Ministry of Health Dr Mohammed Al Thani said: “It is a great pleasure to establish this collaboration with QU, the only national university in Qatar.”
Director of TRCQ, Dr Philippe Julien, said: “Our agreement with the College represents an important milestone in fostering collaboration between TRCQ and QU in the field of environmental science training and research and development, particularly in the field of air quality management.” The Peninsula
