DOHA: Since last night the beginning of Grand Hamad Street that intersects with the Corniche Street has been closed for ten days, the Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ said in a statement yesterday.
Drivers will be able to use Mina Street during this period to get to and from the Corniche Street, as shown in the attached map.
The road closure will be due to ongoing work on the Corniche project, which will see eight roundabouts converted to signal-controlled intersections.
The closure in both directions will allow the completion of its alignment with the Corniche Street that is currently being upgraded. This alignment work is essential to ensure smooth traffic flow from the Grand Hamad Street to the Corniche Street.
