Free medical camp for low-paid Lanka workers

DOHA: A free medical camp exclusively for low-paid Sri Lankan workers will be held on Friday by Sri Lanka Majlis Qatar (SLMQ) in association with Atlas Polyclinic.
A team of more than 20 doctors, (general physicians and specialists) and medical staff will be available to see around 1,500 people from 7am to 3pm at West End Park Atlas Polyclinic, First Floor, Grand Mall Building.
Companies have been informed to bring their workers to the camp. Walk-in patients will not be refused admission. All visitors will be registered by volunteers.
The camp will provide consultation on lifestyle diseases. The workers will be tested for hypertension, diabetes, BMI and do a vision. ECG will be done for the needy.
SLMQ operates under the aegis of the Sri Lanka embassy and has held several blood donation camps, but a free medical camp for low-paid workers is being organised for the first time. The Peninsula
