Pakistan Education Centre celebrated the “Happy Teachers’ Day” to mark the ‘World Teachers’ Day” recently. This day was commemorated in order to pay tribute to the teachers and appreciate their contribution in shaping the future generations.
The day kicked off with the special assemblies held in all the four wings of the school. The students paid homage to their teachers for their efforts in imparting top quality education and inculcating moral and social values. The students expressed their gratitude to their teachers by presenting them colourful cards and wishing them “Happy Teachers’ Day”.
Nargis Raza Otho, Principal, PEC, who was also the chief guest of the day, highlighted the importance of this particular day by quoting Aristotle’s famous adage, “Those who educate children well are more to be honoured than they who produce them; for these only gave them life, those, the art of living well”. She urged the students to accord due respect to their teachers as they are the ones who help create a strong base for children to build their future on.
Later, the outstanding teachers from all the wings were rewarded with commendation certificates in recognition of their services in the field of education and for showing excellent results in inter school and federal board examinations for 2013-14 session.
