DOHA: A lower criminal court hearing the Istanbul Hala restaurant gas explosion case that killed 11 people and injured several others late last February adjourned the matter to December 16.
The court headed by judge Abdullah Ali Al Emadi asked some of those injured to bring medical certificate at the next hearing to prove the extent of their injury.
Only three of the injured who appeared in the court yesterday had brought medical certificates that showed their injuries to be minor — one to two percent only.
The court of first instance in Al Sadd which is hearing the case began hearing at 10am sharp and within 10 minutes the judge ordered adjournment.
The court conceded the plea of a defence lawyer for one of the accused that a police officer who was one of the investigating officers depose as a witness during the next hearing.
