Doha: The Cabinet welcomed the Sakhir Declaration issued at the conclusion of the 33rd Summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), hosted by of Bahrain, which includes a number of principles and guidelines that constitute a strong impetus in the GCC joint action and boost the GCC process towards the best interest and welfare of the GCC states and peoples.
Deputy Premier and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud presided over the Cabinet’s ordinary meeting held in its headquarters at the Emiri Diwan.
The cabinet considered the items in the agenda as follows:
First: Approved a draft law amending some provisions of the Advocacy Law No. 23 of 2006 and to submit it to the Advisory Council.
Second: Approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for legal cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Justice of Sudan.
Third: Approved a proposal by the General Authority for Civil Aviation to hold talks in air transport between Qatar and the Republic of Barbados and Bermuda.
Fourth: Took necessary steps to ratify a joint archaeology fieldwork cooperation agreement between Qatar and Sudan.
Fifth: The Cabinet reviewed a letter by the Minister of Business and Trade on the results of the 90th session of the Economic and Social Council, which was held in Cairo in September 2012 and took the appropriate decision.
