West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) championship

Jordan’s Sharif Adnan (right) challenges Lebanon’s Hassan Chaito during their 8th West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) championship football match in Doha, yesterday. The Group C match ended in a goalless draw.  Jordan take on Kuwait in their next match on January 1. Today is rest day of the championship which will end  on January 7. Nine teams are vying for the  title. The others teams in the championship are hosts Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Oman, Iraq and Bahrain.
