MES conducts teachers’ orientation programme

Doha: MES Indian School conducted a two-day orientation programme for the teachers recently. The session began with a counselling class on ‘An Outlook on Inclusive Education’ by the school Principal Hameeda Kadar. 

She elaborated on the purpose of inclusion to include every child in mainstream of schools activities despite differences to ensure all learners feel welcomed and valued besides supporting them to develop their talents and achieve their goals.

The other training topics covered during the orientation sessions were ‘Teaching English Language Skills through Games’ by Baby Shana, Head of Academic Inspection &  Quality Management, ‘ An Introduction to School Health Emergency’ by the educators of UNIQ (United Nurses of India-Qatar), ‘Learning Disabilities  and Slow Learners’ by Saleema M M (K.G Teacher),‘Differentiation for Catch-Up’ by Rameesh Fathima, Coordinator Department of English, Girls’ Section and ‘A Well- Managed Classroom- Educators Effectiveness’ by Sibi Daniel -Department Of Chemistry, Boys’ Section.

The sessions presented by the school officials and the teachers during the orientation were exceptional and effective. The session also witnessed overwhelming participation and a high level of interaction from the attendees.

Sudeesh (Department of Physics) along with a team of teachers comprising Shahana Begum. V (Boys’ Section), Mary Cynthia (Girls’ Section), Resmi Ajith Kumar, Shemeera Shameer (Junior Section), Jesna Siju and Suja Mathew (Kindergarten) coordinated the event.
