Emir attends Air College graduation

The Emir H  H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the passing out ceremony of the second batch of students at Leader Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Attiyah Air College at Al Udeid Air Base yesterday. The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, a  number of Ministers and armed forces and Interior Ministry officers attended the ceremony.

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday attended the passing out ceremony of the second batch of students of Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Attiyah Air College at Al Udeid Air Base.
The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, ministers and Armed Forces and Ministry of Interior officers were also present.
The Emir reviewed a parade by the graduates.
He presented the Sword of Honour to the topper in all grades, Mubarak Abdurrahman Mohamed Al Hemaidi, and honoured the second topper in all grades and first in aviation,  Abdullah Mohsen Andilah Al Marri; and the third top achiever in all grades and first in military competence and discipline, Talah Khalid Surour Al Abdullah.
The second batch handed over the flag to the third batch. An order for promotions was read out and the graduates took the oath.
In a speech, the Commander of the college, Brigadier (Pilot) Salim Hamad Al Nabit, said, “Today we celebrate the graduation of the second batch of the college who were awarded bachelor’s degrees in air sciences and the military diploma.”
He said the Armed Forces, thanks to the Emir’s directives and efforts of the personnel, are witnessing progress in all fields in terms of qualifications and training.
This development included the introduction of the most advanced aircraft and training.
He thanked the Emir and government agencies for support which, he said, helped the college reach its present level.
The Emir also attended an air show by the Emiri Air Force and the college’s aircraft and inspected the cockpits of pc21 aircraft. QNA
