Cairo: The State of Qatar participated in the meeting of Senior Arab Officials Committee on Nuclear Weapons and Other Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), which started on Monday and will continue for three days, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
The State of Qatar was represented at the meeting by Chairperson of the National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons (NCPW) H E Brigadier Sultan Rashid Al Hudhaifi.
The meeting’s agenda included several topics of interest to Arab states in the field of disarmament and non-proliferation, including the coordination of Arab positions for participation in the Eleventh Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and the 70th Session of the IAEA General Conference.
