At least eight civilians were wounded in a car bomb in southern Iraq

BAGHDAD: At least eight civilians were wounded in a car bomb explosion in Al-Azizia district, north of Wasit province, in southern Iraq.

A security source told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ) that a car bomb exploded in a market selling livestock in the district of Al Azizia.

"The explosion led to the injury of 8 civilians, some wounded were in serious conditions, the security source said.

He added that the security forces cordoned off the area of the incident and had a heavy search operation in anticipation of other car bomb or explosives. (QNA)
