DOHA: The Qatar Exchange in the green area Thursday adding 37.02 points (or 0.44 percent) to advance to 8,528.58 points from 8,491.56 Wednesday.
The volume of the shares traded fell to 4,694,338 from 5,444,388 on Wednesday, and the value of shares decreased to QR215,042,437.65 from QR233,141,911.54 Wednesday.
Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 0.15 percent to QR129.50, Commercial Bank of Qatar rose 0.74 percent to QR68.50.
Industries Qatar gained 1.31 percent to QR170.20 and Doha Bank up by 1.82 percent to QR44.80.
The Banking and Financial sector index was up 0.16 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index added 0.57 points.
The industrial sector was gained 1.05 points while insurance sector fell 1.11 points. (QNA)
