Doha, Qatar: Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti met yesterday via video conference with President of the Andean Parliament H E Cristina Reyes.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance joint coordination and develop cooperative relations between the Gulf councils and the Andean Parliament.
The two sides stressed the necessity of exchanging visits and experiences and coordinating stances and visions in parliamentary forums.
This meeting comes in implementation of the decision of the Heads of GCC Legislative Councils, during their 17th meeting, which was hosted by Doha in November 2023, calling for holding meetings between the Gulf councils and their Latin counterparts to enhance cooperation.
