Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a telephone call today with his brother the Amir of the State of Kuwait HH Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
At the beginning of the call, HH the Amir inquired about the well-being of the State of Kuwait, its leadership and people, and HH the Amir of Kuwait inquired about the well-being of the leadership and people of the State of Qatar, following the heinous Iranian attack that targeted the territories of both brotherly countries.
Both sides expressed their strong condemnation of this blatant aggression, considering it a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of both countries and of the provisions of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
They affirmed that this attack on both countries and a number of other brotherly nations represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
The two sides also reviewed the latest security developments in the region and their repercussions on regional and international peace and stability.
Their Highnesses stressed the necessity of an immediate cessation of escalatory actions and a return to diplomacy and dialogue, indicating their readiness to dedicate all their resources to supporting the security of the region and preserving its stability.
