US couple jailed for causing daughter’s death

DOHA: A criminal court yesterday sentenced an American couple to three years in jail for causing the death of their adopted daughter. 
The eight-year-old died after avoiding food for several days. 
The court also ordered the couple to pay a fine of QR15,000 each and will be deported after serving the jail term, agencies reported yesterday. The Peninsula
