Stunning art works fashioned out of vegetables, fruits, ice and butter impressed thousands of visitors on the first day of the 28th annual Qafco Flower and Vegetable Show at Al Banush Club in Mesaieed yesterday. Hundreds of professional and amateur carvers competed for top honours at the event organised every year to raise awareness about the need to preserve the environment. Competitions included ice, vegetable and butter-carving and categories of flowers, vegetables, fruits, pot plants, gardens, environment and flower arrangements, among others.
