Doha: US Green Building Council has signed up as a partner to next month’s Qatar Green Building Conference.
Many high-profile local and regional institutions will attend the two-day conference from April 27 at Qatar National Convention Centre.
The conference, being organised by Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), is committed to achieving Qatar’s sustainability and green buildings aspirations through a collaborative and integrated approach with participation from leading national and global institutions. The US council is transforming the international building landscape in many ways, with one of its most recognised green building programmes being LEED, which certifies 1.5 million square feet of building space every day in 135 countries.
Other organisations that have signed up as partners to the conference include Middle East Facility Management Association, Qatar Society of Engineers, British Standards Institution, Chartered Institute of Building, Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, Engineers Australia Group Qatar, and Pakistan Engineers Forum in Qatar. The Peninsula
