Al Wakrah coach Goran Tufegdzic addressing a  press conference on the eve of the Emir Cup match against Al Sailiya.

DOHA:  Al Arabi will be one of eight teams eyeing a quarter-finals berth when they take on Al Kharaitiyat in the third round of the Emir Cup today.
In other games, Al Gharafa play Umm Salal, Al Ahli face Al Khor and Al Sailiyah battle  ‎Al Wakrah.
Al Arabi – coached by Gianfranco Zola – will play Al Kharaitiyat at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Al Kharaitiyat are coming into the game following a win over Qatar SC last week.  Al Arabi are clearly desperate to do well after a less than impressive form in the Qatar Stars League. Al Gharafa-Umm Salal clash also has much riding on it since both sides will be looking to round off the season with silverware.  Al Gharafa beat Muaither in their previous Emir Cup clash.
Al Wakra and Al Khor will be aiming to reach the quarterfinals with a convincing performance since penalties are being used to determine a winner instead of extra time halves.
Emir Cup is the biggest football tournaments in Qatar. The final on May 20 will signal the end of the football season in Qatar.
