Doha: Secretary General of the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation Mohammed Salim Al Nuaimi (pictured), was elected as the President of the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports for a three-year.
Al Naimi won the elections held at the Holiday Villa Hotel in Doha on the sidelines of the 33rd Asian Men's Snooker Championship, hosted by the Qatar Federation with which ended yesterday.
Al Nuaimi has become the second Qatari to be elected president of the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports, replacing his compatriot Mubarak Al-Khayarin.
Al Nuaimi thanked the member federations for reposing their faith in him and thanked the General Assembly of the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports for electing him.
He assured the General Assembly and said that he continue his efforts to develop Snooker as a sport at the continental level.
