A special assembly in conjunction with the Earth Day celebration was organised in the auditorium of DPS Modern Indian School recently by the students of Grade I and II, to bring about awareness on conserving and saving our planet earth. The assembly commenced with the prayer, thought for the day, and Mission and Vision of the school. It was followed by a melodious song by Grade II-A.
The students of Grade I-A presented a skit highlighting the importance of Earth Day and the ways in which the Earth can be protected. They spread the message to keep the mother earth clean and make it a better place to live. To further enliven the atmosphere, the children of Grade II presented a scintillating dance.
The entire assembly was well organised and was attended by the students and teachers of Grade I and II. It was graced by the Principal, Asna Nafees, Vice-Principal (Jr. School), Shifa Shaikh, and Headmistress Sini Menon (I-V).
They inspired the students with their words of wisdom and the assembly concluded with the National Anthems of Qatar and India.
