Doha: The ninth edition of the “Senyar” festival will be launched on May 2 Tuesday, which is organized by the Cultural Village Foundation Katara.
Until May 5, the event will see participation of 55 teams in hand line fishing – Haddaq and pearl diving – Lifah tournaments.
The festival aims to revive the customs and traditions associated with the maritime heritage in of Qatar, with all its noble values, as Katara seeks through it to root the marine heritage in the hearts of young people.
To mention the start of the festival will not be collective, as each team must go to the fishing destination that was assigned by the organizing committee of the festival.
The organizing committee of the festival held a meeting recently for the participants in the ninth edition of the “Senyar” festival. Violating the conditions, such as intentionally leaving the area designated for hunting, and adhering to the instructions of the organizing committee in order to avoid exposing any team to deductions that lead to some penalties and penalties, and other arranging issues.
