Doha, Qatar: The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB) has organised the 15th virtual specialised workshop for ambassadors of its national performance management system “Ada’a”, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen human resources capabilities across government entities.

The session, conducted by the Talent Management and National Human Resources Development Department, focused on enhancing clarity around roles and responsibilities in implementing the Ada’a system.

According to CGB social media posts, participants reviewed the full performance management cycle, beginning with the setting of strategic objectives and extending through to the mid-year performance evaluation.

Discussions also highlighted the critical contributions of human resources departments and direct line managers, while outlining the bureau’s programme of commitment standards and mechanisms for measuring institutional adherence to the system.

The workshop forms part of a continuing series designed to equip “Ada’a” ambassadors, senior officials nominated by ministries and government agencies,  with the knowledge and tools needed to drive effective implementation at the organisational level.

These virtual sessions play a vital role in building a culture of excellence, accountability and results-oriented governance within the public sector, CGB noted.

Launched in March 2023, the Ada’a performance management system represents a cornerstone of Qatar’s broader administrative reform agenda. It aims to align individual and departmental goals with the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030, promoting higher levels of efficiency, transparency and service quality across the civil service.
