DOHA: Students of MES Indian School, Birla Public School (BPS) and DPS Modern Indian School scored the highest marks in the CBSE Class XII examinations announced in New Delhi yesterday.
Four schools - MES, BPS, Shantiniketan Indian School and Doha Modern Indian School (DMIS) secured 100 percent pass.
MES Indian School
All the 487 students - 224 boys and 263 girls - who sat the examination passed, with two of them securing A1 in all the subjects.
Forty students in the science stream and 10 students in the commerce stream secured over 90 percent of marks. The average aggregate mark in the school is 77.54 percent. MES bagged the first position in the science stream among all the Indian Schools in Qatar.
Syeda Razia Haider topped with an aggregate of 485 (97 percent) marks, closely followed by Diya Chandra with 477 (95.4 percent) marks and Vidya Venkatesh with 474 (94.8 percent) marks.
In the commerce stream, Prasad M Panicker topped the school with 93.8 percent (469) marks. Fathima Sahla Ceereveettil came second with 93.6 percent (468) marks followed by Sreekumar Ravindrakumar who scored 93.4 percent (467) marks.
Birla Public School
All the 77 students passed. Of them, 33.77 percent scored above 90 percent. The average score in the school is 85.02 percent.
In the science team, Jenet Sara Jacob topped with 96.80 percent marks, followed by Tina Bharani (95.80 percent) and Jemimah Julie Anil (95.60 percent).
The first three toppers in the commerce stream are Shamin Valencia Fernandez (95.60 percent), Falguni Anil Mahajan (93.60 percent) and Fathimath Shasna C M (91.60 percent).
DPS-Modern
Indian School
Of the 138 students who appeared for the examination, 32 students secured 90 percent marks or above.
Toppers in the commerce stream are: Anagha Ann Gopakumar (96.4 percent), Maimoona Sahar (94.8 percent) and Farnaaz Khan (94 percent).
The first three toppers in the science stream are: Nayana Shibu Deepthi (95 percent), Anajli Anil Valappil (94.6 percent) and Kocherlakota Satya Priyanka (94.4 percent).
Ideal Indian School
Of the 211 students who took the examination, 105 students scored 75 percent marks and above. Toppers in the commerce stream are Jayne James (95.6 percent), Samiya Anwar (94 percent) and Venal Castelino (93.6 percent).
Toppers in the science stream are Rashad Mubarak Amanulla (94.8 percent), Rohit Jose (94.6 percent) and Cleetus Kutty Koshy (93.6 percent)
Shantiniketan
Indian School
All the 40 students in the first Class X11 batch passed. Nanditha Rajesh topped with 94.6 percent marks and got A1 grade in all the subjects. She is also the topper in English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
Doha Modern
Indian School
All the 16 students who appeared for the examination have passed. Sharon Ann Koshy from the Science stream topped with 93.8 percent marks. She has secured A1 in all the subjects. Kevin Paul Kurian topped the commerce stream with 87.4 percent marks. Ten students scored between 75 percent and 90 percent marks and two students scored above 90 percent.
