Doha: Anjuman Muhibban-e-Urdu Hind Qatar (AMUHQ) organised a meeting, under the patronage of the founder, Ibraheem Khan Kamal and Chairman Hasan A. Chougule to discuss and elect new office bearers.
It has been decided with the consensus of all members present in the meeting that renowned and enthwusiastic poet icon of Doha Nadeem Mahir will be the new president from May 15, 2023 onwards, and Aziz Nabeel will be the general secretary, Osama Shamsi joint secretary while Niyaz Azmi was elected as media secretary.
Members’ names will be announced by new president shortly. Anjuman Muhibbane Urdu Hind, Qatar, was established in 2005 with an objective to promote Urdu language.
Since its inception, the Anjuman is playing a pivotal role in promoting Urdu language in Qatar, back home in India, and on the international platform.
