Doha, Qatar: The incumbent Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan concluded his election campaign for the presidential run-off by visiting the famous Eyup Sultan Mosque in Istanbul.
Eyup Sultan Mosque is one of the most important mosques in Turkiye, and is located at the site of the tomb of the companion of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Abu Ayyub al-Ansari.
Erdogan concluded his election campaign for the first round of the vote with a visit to Hagia Sophia, where he performed evening prayers and recited verses from the Quran.

Polls opened at 8am local time on Sunday in Turkiye as the country's first-ever presidential election run-off begins. Voters were seen casting their ballots at polling stations to elect a president for a five-year term. Polls will close at 5pm on Sunday.
The incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan led the first round of elections, held on May 14, with 49.5 percent of support. While his main opposition challenger, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, received 44.9 percent.
