Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, represented by the Climate Change Sector, has announced to organise a workshop titled “The Future of Climate Change in Qatar: Assessing Measures and Setting Priorities”.
The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 28, at the Salwa Hall of Sheraton Doha Hotel, from 8am to 2pm.
This workshop is part of the Ministry’s efforts to support the country’s approach in addressing climate change challenges through the development of science-based policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening Qatar’s capacity to adapt to its impacts. The initiative aligns with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the country’s international environmental commitments.
The workshop aims to highlight national measures in the field of adaptation and to enhance participation and coordination among stakeholders. Discussions will cover a range of climate change-related topics with the involvement of representatives from both public and private sectors, academic institutions, experts, and interested parties.
The workshop will also include several sessions focused on identifying priorities for climate adaptation. These interactive sessions will engage relevant stakeholders to produce recommendations that will support the development of a comprehensive national plan to strengthen the country’s resilience to climate impacts.
