Doha: Ooredoo’s Nojoom members donated more than 8.6 million Nojoom Points to charities and Iftar and Sohour meals, the company said yesterday.
As part of its Ramadan campaign, Ooredoo’s Nojoom team launched two initiatives for Nojoom members, enabling them to redeem their Nojoom Points for charitable donations, or to provide Iftar and Sohour meals for those in need. The initiative was a success as members donated millions of Nojoom Points and over 4,000 meals. The amount raised was donated to Qatar Charity and the Sheikh Eid bin Mohammad Al Thani Charitable Association, also known as Eid Charity.
A spokesperson for Ooredoo said: “Our Nojoom members have showed great generosity during the holy month of Ramadan by donating their Nojoom Points to charities. We are very thankful for their contribution to our efforts to fill people’s hearts with joy and give back to the community.”
