Seoul: South Korea and US are set to commence on Monday the second round of the joint military maneuvers between the two countries dubbed "Ulchi Freedom Shield".
In a statement of the Ministry of National Defense of South Korea quoted by Yonhap News Agency, the ministry said the joint military maneuvers are intended to strengthen the capability of counter-attack, in addition to carrying out counter-offensive operations, adding that the maneuvers will start on Monday and will continue until Sep. 1, 2022.
The second -round trainings not only include military command center trainings based on computer simulation, but will rather encompass the actual field military maneuvers.
