Accolades for QU pharmacy student at Egypt meet

Doha: Qatar University College of Pharmacy student Ghadeer Daghash won first place in the senior level patient counselling skills competition at the 58th annual International Pharmacy Student Federation (IPSF) World Congress held in Hurghada, Egypt recently.

Ghadeer was one of  10 CPH students who joined over 500 pharmacy students from around the world at the 11-day educational, scientific and cultural symposium. 

The  event included a scientific poster competition and presentations from experts on the latest in scientific research and technological advancements. 

The students also participated in a number of educational activities such as lectures,  student skills competitions, regional assemblies and student-led workshops, as well as cultural trips and Egyptian folk dancing. 

Ghadeer said:  “Competing on an international level has strengthened my professional skills as a pharmacy student.  During our period of study at the College, we are given the opportunity to develop important skills which will in future enhance our care of patients and compliance with international pharmacy standards.”
