DOHA: Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) has launched a new product ‘New to Qatar’ to enable newcomers to Qatar access to hassle-free banking upon arrival to the country, said a press statement yesterday.
Upon their (expatriates) arrival, newcomers utilising this service will know first-hand their relationship manager, have access to a fully functioning bank account as well as being provided with a local mobile number for ease of communication. In addition, these new clients will receive a welcome pack which includes a personalised debit card.
A tailored interest free pre-paid card with a limit of QR20,000, a pre-approved auto loan, a QR1,500 Rent a Car voucher, and a priority pass card to access more than 600 business lounges through-out the world, are all included in the package, as well as up to QR4,000 cash back when the loan is drawdown.

There are different components in the service: A dedicated relationship manager, access to upgraded and exclusive Premium centers at the branches, preferential rates on all types of loans and deposits, choice of Premium positioned credit cards with multiple benefits to suit an individual’s life style and a complimentary ‘Priority Pass’ membership. However, the elements that stands out in this service is ‘Doorstep Banking’ whereby the customer’s dedicated Relationship Manager will visit wherever is suitable or convenient for the customer. This is in addition to the al khaliji cash back loyalty program which rewards customers instantly with simply cash and no points.
