Doha: Lulu Hypermarket Group has joined hands with the National Cancer Programme (NCP) to raise awareness about breast cancer, help reduce the incidence and help the community stay well, get well and fight the disease effectively.
The month-long campaign also aims to provide information on prevention to customers visiting Lulu outlets, empowering them to make better choices regarding health and wellness.
Lulu Group has put danglers in their outlets and all female sales staff are advised to wear awareness tag on their uniforms during the month.
Also LFD screens in showrooms display awareness tips and give informative sessions on the subject, and initiatives have been taken to demonstrate the same on social media networks.
The objective is to educate the public on the rising incidence of breast cancer.
On the campaign, Mohamed Althaf, Director, Lulu Group, said, “Lulu and NCP will work together to help create a world with less breast cancer cases and more healthy dietary habits.
“This comes within the framework of Lulu’s ongoing endeavours towards corporate social responsibility. I hope Lulu-NCP collaboration will accelerate awareness and help reduce the chance of developing the disease and mortality.”
