Doha: Qatar welcomed results of Tunisian legislative elections yesterday. In a statement, the Foreign Ministry termed the polls as a historic step towards strengthening the democratic process and building the state of institutions and law. It also praised the awareness of the Tunisian people and the wisdom of the political forces that avoided disruption of the peaceful transition process, saying the current task is represented in the protection of pluralism and achievements of the revolution.
