Doha: Qatar's national handball team continue preparations for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics' Asian qualifiers, which will be hosted in Doha in November with the participation of 12 national teams.
Last June's draw placed the Qatari side along with Iran, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Japan and Uzbekistan in Group B. Bahrain, South Korea, Kuwait, Iraq, China and Australia were drawn in Group A.
The Qatari team returned from Spain after undergoing a 27-day training camp to prepare for the qualifiers. During the camp, the national team played a series of friendlies against Spanish teams.
Qatar Handball Association is organizing an international friendly tournament from November 2 to 6 at Duhail Handball Sports Hall as part of the national team's preparations.
