DOHA: Qatar Insurance Company, (QIC), is the official insurer of the upcoming Qatar International Boat Show (QIBS), said the company yesterday. The world class boating event, which will be held in Lusail Marina – Lusail City, is scheduled to commence from November 10.
During the signing ceremony, which was held at the QIC Headquarters in West Bay, Ali Saleh Al Fadala, Senior Deputy Group President and CEO of QIC Group and Essa Al Mannai, Chairman of QIBS Board of Directors inked the agreement.
Speaking on this important collaboration Fadala said, “We are delighted to partner with QIBS as the official insurer for the second consecutive year. Being a pioneer in insuring boats and yachts and as QIBS’s chosen insurance partner, QIC will extend its support by setting up QIC’s stand at the boat show and promote awareness about insurance of yachts and boats among the sailing community for secured sailing in Arabian Gulf waters (including Qatari waters)”.
Essa Al Mannai, Chairman of QIBS said, “The Qatar International Boat Show was conceptualised with the primary objective of creating the platform for the maritime industry of Qatar to grow and innovate. Safety is the most important element of a show and its exhibits, with all the related packages offered by QIC when it comes to owning a yacht”.
The Lusail Marina, in Lusail City was selected to give guests beautiful views of the Arabian Gulf while guests explore its luxury offerings and have their inquiries fielded by some of the industry’s experts.
