​33 militants killed in Kabul

Kabul: At least 33 Taliban militants were killed in joint operations launched by Afghan security forces and the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF) during the past twenty-four hours in different regions of the country. Afghan forces carried out with ISAF several joint operations in the country killing 33 Taliban militants, wounding two and arresting nine others.
Three Taliban leaders freed
Islamabad:  Pakistan has released three top Taliban leaders in a bid to help start peace talks between the Taliban group and Afghan government, the Afghan Khama Press reported yesterday.
Pakistani government officials confirming the report said the prisoners released were: Mullah Abdul Ahad Jahangirwal; Mullah Abdul Manan; and Mullah Younus.
China team to  visit Pakistan
Islamabad: A Chinese parliamentary delegation will start today an official three-day visit to Pakistan.
The Chinese delegation will be led by Vice Chairperson of Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Shen Yueyue. The delegation will meet with Pakistani government officials.
