A woman is made to board an ambulance after clashes with security forces in the port of Ita Enramada, which is located opposite the Argentine city of Clorinda, on the outskirts of Asuncion, yesterday. Protesters clashed with security forces over increased security measures at the Paraguayan border following an announcement by Paraguay’s government to stop smuggling of contraband goods from Argentina in the run up to Christmas and New Year.
