ABU DHABI: President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a decree granting citizenship to 500 children of Emirati women, who meet the conditions necessary to acquire the citizenship.
According to (WAM) news agency, the decision came upon a recommendation presented by the committee tasked with implementing directives of the president on children of UAE women married to foreigners.
The UAE began granting citizenship to children of Emirati women married to foreign men once they reach 18 years since 2012. (QNA)
